The Astor Suite’s champagne button

The Waldorf Hilton enjoys one of London’s most enviable locations as it bridges the West End and the Square Mile, providing an excellent base for accessing the main financial district in the day and the popular cultural hub of Covent Garden and Theatre land in the evening, located close to Covent Garden underground station.

It opened in January 1908, providing the hotel history researchers with a host of fascinating stories. We love the grand Palm Court. The original 1908 Grill Room is today called Homage Grand Salon. It speaks for itself that the The Homage Patisserie is accessible both from the hotel and a legendary theatre, the Aldwych (which has a great history that influenced the history of the Waldorf).

On 13 October 2015, The London Waldorf has launched its top suite, The Astor, designed to reinforce a charming 1920s atmosphere. Modern take on 1908 with (modern) old gramophone,  (modern) old bedside phone, TV playing silent movies, comfortable period furniture AND a champagne button which does indeed summon the Butler with champagne.
