They are beautifully bound , excellent photographs and well written . We do not usually find such high quality in books these days so it is a pleasure to find such gems !

Your book on this hotel was a real find for me, I loved it. My mother used to take my brothers and me to the hotel just about every summer for years in the fifties and sixties. It was my favorite place in the world. We became friends with Karlheinz Bohm ( whose aunt owned the hotel at that time) and his wife Barbara, and through him my parents got to know his father Karl Bohm the conductor.

I finally tracked down a copy of your out of print book on the Savoy Hotel London.... I found it in a second hand dealer in new york. I must say it is one of the most interesting,informative and entertaining books in the series. ... loved the outline of the 'america bar' its orign and history is amazing...made me go and buy the cocktail book.
... what a charming tale of 'kaspar' the wooden cat who makes up number 14 at a table...nice to see that history and nostalgia is being maintained.
... I'd already read alot about the famous cesar ritz but to discover he was actually dismissed from the Savoy for mis-management and neglect was truly amazin... then there was the equally famous chef Auguste Escoffier who also was dismissed for fraud/corruption and mis-management
...very informative ... a truly amazing book...as always thanks for the memories.

I purchased the book "Sofitel Metropole Hanoi" at the hotel. It's a nice book and enhanced my enjoyment and understanding of the hotel. I read the whole book while in Hanoi. I still love the book and am contemplating purchasing the leather bound edition.
